The Grygla School gave out certificates of appreciation to a few of their employees. The VFW Auxiliary recently hosted a Grygla Elementary Poppy Poster contest. Judges awarded the 1st-6th grade winners with cash prizes.  The poppy is the official memorial flower of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Memorial Day will be observed on May 30th, 2016.
