For the a couple of years, except in 2020, the American Legion Post 159 has held a Flag Day ceremony to dispose of Flags that are torn and damaged properly according to the Flag rules of the United States.

The Roseau Rams Varsity Golf team, which Grygla Junior Justin Thompson is a part of, were named 2021 Section 8AA Champs, which means they are heading to State in Jordan, MN, this week.

The Clearwater Count Historical Society under the direction of Tamara Edevold started the day with a prayer from 2015 First Lady Ardis Thompson.
A short service was held at the Winger Veteran's Memorial Park on Monday, May 31st in honor of Memorial Day by the American Legion Fengestad-Solie Poast 200. Attendees then gathered at the Winger Community Center for coffee and fellowship.
There may not have been color guard or a marching band this year at the Winger American Legion Memorial Day program, but the ceremony was still felt special as the Memorial Park in Winger is one of the most beautiful in Northwest Minnesota.
