The I-500 Cross Country race ran through the area in a flash. The final day was on Friday, February 10 and Zach Herfindahl took home the honors in the Pro 600. Zach had a tribute to Hunter Houle on his helmet during the race.
Shirley Nordby had Mark Moran appraise an antique nativity scene. “That any of these survive is nothing short of amazing,” Mr. Moran said. The piece is considered folk art, which makes it a collectible, but the fact that it’s religious makes it tough to sell, according to Moran. The piece was given a $50 approximate value.
You may recognize Mark Moran from his appearance on the popular PBS series, Antiques Roadshow. He has been an active appraiser of antiques for more than 20 years and has authored and co-authored more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles.

On Monday evening the Win-E-Mac Literacy Committee hosted a supper and Bingo for Books night at the School for students in the pre-school through 6th grade. Everyone went home with a book!
