The 4th annual Fosston Fiber Festival took place over the weekend of October 6-7, 2018 at the Clearbrook City Hall.  Although the weather outside was cold and damp, the atmosphere inside was warm and jovial.

5L Farms north of Gully received Minnesota Water Quality Certified farm award. They are the largest farm in Minnesota to receive this award. 5L Farms, with all the Vettleson names starting with “L” was started by the father Lealand Vettleson.

Goodridge Homecoming Coronation was held Monday afternoon, October 1st, with Kaleb Sjulestad and Libby Johnson being crowned King and Queen.

Congratulations to the new inductees to the Win-E-Mac Chapter of Minnesota Honor Society 2018-2019 school year. Inductees are Dustin Osland, Elliana Lindberg, Mason Spry, Lindsey Espeseth, Hally Catahan, Rylee Haugen, Abby Lende, Clavdia Anfilofieff. The Win-E-Mac chapter consists of juniors and seniors and are advised by Mrs. Jore.

Jerry Wraa, 70, of Leonard, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a combat engineer from 1968 to 1969. He is chaplain of Bemidji VFW Post 1260 as well as for Clearbrook American Legion Post 256. His involvement and dedication to veterans’ causes found him leaping from an airplane for the first time in his life. The sequence of Jerry Wraa’s skydive event is captured in these photos.
