By now you’re familiar with the new summer series that’s been running the last few weeks.
Many people attended the Elder Awareness Fair where there were multiple presenters, basket prizes, informational booths, BINGO, and free lunch.
The Elder Awareness Fair drew many people to the Brooks Community Center on June 15th.  The day started with coffee, rolls, socializing, and the chance to look at informational booths. One of the informational booths was RSVP.
Dr. Bob Burgess giving a shot to “Murdock” at the vaccination clinic that was held at Cornerstone Veterinary Service in Gonvick. Murdock is being held by Makayla Burman.
Cornerstone Veterinary Service was busy in Gonvick last week as they hosted a clinic on Friday, June 2.  The staff worked from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. that night.

Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston hosted their 10th Annual Blessing of the Bikes motorcycle ride and dinner on Sunday, June 11th.
“Wipeout Cancer” was the theme of this year’s Relay for Life of Marshall/Pennington Counties. Sisters, Tausha Severts and Shaunna Olson, hold a special spot for the Relay events as both are cancer survivors. Tausha had Thyroid Cancer while Shaunna had Melanoma. They are pictured at their team’s campsite at the Marshall County Fairgrounds. The event was held in Warren last Friday night.
Grygla’s Relay for Life team, Chix from the Stix, played a huge role in last Friday night’s Relay for Life event at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in Warren.
Sam Nordby enjoys checking on the new community garden daily. Her favorite vegetable that’s planted is radishes! The garden is located in the spot of the old cafe.
Located where the old café used to sit, the city is working to increase fresh, healthy food for people within our community.

Winners from the Red Lake County Fair Talent Show 2016 were Jaedyn in second place, Autumn in first place for the Teen division and Aurimy in first for the Pre-Teen division.
