Local Veterans honored.
Our Local Veteran's were honored during a Veterans Day program held at Win-E-Mac School on Monday, November 11th. Students, staff and community members honored all Veteran's with music and presentations during the annual program.
Wallace Nelson of Oklee was presented a Quilt of Valor by the Thief River Falls Quilting Club and it was presented to him by Oklee American Legion Auxiliary member Shirley Dessellier. Many of Wallace’s familiy members were with him when he received the quilt.
Monday, November 11th is an important day in America’s history. Once know as Armistice Day, Veteran’s Day is a day to honor and remember the veteran’s for their selfless act to keep us safe and free.
In honor of Veterans Day, the Grygla Eagle Newspaper conducted an interview with one of our local veterans, Glen Limesand, Jr., of Gatzke.
