Three local businesses in Oklee held Anniversary celebrations. Oklee Lumber (70 years), D & R Grocery (30 years) and Oklee Quilting (50 years). Oklee Lumber had a sidewalk sale and good bargins for shoppers.
On Oklee Market Day, three local businesses helped make Market Day in Oklee a success by holding their anniverary celebrations and having treats and specials for all.

It was a great evening to be out at Roholt Park enjoying fresh sweetcorn and seeing good friends.

Commissioners from Red Lake, Polk and Hubbard Counties and other interested persons were given a guided tour of the Enbridge pump station at Clearbrook. They were able to see how Enbridge pipeline system serves as a vital link to stable and reliable North American crude oil supplies for Minnesota and the surrounding region.
Enbridge Energy’s Clearbrook Terminal was opened recently for a tour of the large facility. Included in the tour were county commissioners from, Red Lake, Polk and Hubbard counties, Senator Rod Skoe and other interested persons.
Outstanding Senior Citizens for Clearwater County were named at the fair. Marilyn and Darol Melby were chosen for this honor for 2016.  With them are committee Co-Chairperson Dee Strandlien and Al Paulson.
Back in 1961 during the Clearwater County Fair, a young man named Darol Melby, met a young lady taking care of the 4-H Dress Review at the old Grandstand. He wanted to meet her and he did and he eventually married Marilyn Balstad. 
The B-B Cafe on the Main Street in McIntosh. There will be a Public Meeting on Monday, August 29th to discuss the future of the restaurant and the responsibility of the City of McIntosh to the success or failure.
The B-B Cafe has been slated to close it’s doors on September 1, 2016 as the owner of the restaurant is no longer going to be keeping it open for business.
