Third Grade Science Fair Students - Project Titles and Science topicsL-R: Jonny Murphy - Ramp Racer (Friction and Gravity), Dillon Foty - Pool Table (Potential and Kinetic Energy), Chase Horachek - Underwater Volcano (Volcanoes), and Brennen Parnow - Build a Crane (Cranes and Pulleys). All students received ribbons for their projects. Ava Halvorson was named the 3rd grade Science Fair Grand Champion with her project, ‘Make a Rainbow’. Ava used a dish of water, a mirror, a flashlight, and a piece of paper to make a rainbow. While researching rainbows, Ava learned how rainbows are formed. Other related topics studied included refraction (the bending of light), color wavelengths, and prisms. The Goodridge School Science Fair was held at the end of the school year. Libby Erickson was also named the 3rd grade Science Fair Grand Champion with her project, ‘Electric Arithmetic’. Goodridge 3rd Grade Science Fair Students.
