Wayne Wolden retires
Wayne Wolden retired from Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) in Wadena after more than three decades.
The 62-year-old was mayor during the 2010 tornado and was instrumental in the creation of the Maslowski Wellness and Research Center almost a decade ago.
But it was only recently that Wolden ended his employment as director of business services at the Wadena campus.
After an incredible 32 years at MState in Wadena, Wayne Wolden retired as business manager. The college held a retirement party, where Wayne was joined by his wife, Lori, three children and five grandchildren.
Beyond his impactful career at MState, Wayne dedicated 16 years as mayor of Wadena and five years on the Wadena City Council, shaping the future of the community he proudly calls home.
Best wishes for a wonderful retirement filled with family, friends, new adventures and trips “up nord” to Gully!
Wayne is a 1981 graduate of Gonvick-Trail High school. His parents are Marvin and Mary Lou Wolden.
