A blood drive was held in Gonvick. Vitalant, is the only blood provider to more than 70 hospitals across North Dakota, South Dakota and western Minnesota.   Despite the terrible weather many came in on January 15, at the Gonvick Community Center to donate their time and blood. It was sponsored by Gonvick Legion Auxiliary. Fay Bjerke was in charge of the event. The next one will be held in Clearbrook.

Russ Lembke was the auctioneer at the Clearbrook-Gonvick Senior Center  New Years party and Auction.
Many attended the fun filled day at the Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Center. After the meal they enjoyed music provided by Barb Torgerson and Mary Ann Lewis. They also held an auction of many items that caused laughs and smiles to those in attendance. Russ Lembke was the auctioneer for the event.

Wadena County Commissioner Chuck Horsager visited the Clearwater County Commissioners meeting on December 31. He says, "Some similarities with our county and Clearwater County meetings can be seen in formalities. But all present sign in at Wadena County, and meetings are held in the court room." Another difference, he said is they have done away with wearing suits and ties in Wadena.
  The Clearwater County Board of Commissioners began on December 31, 2019 with the introduction of guest, Chuck Horsager, a Commissioner from Wadena County who was in the area.
