Special visitors at the Grygla Fire Station

In honor of National Fire Prevention Week (October 6th-12th, 2019), many young kids paid a visit to the Grygla Fire Station throughout the week, which included elementary classes, along with ECFE children and parents.

“Not every hero wears a cape. PLAN and PRACTICE your ESCAPE!” was this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign. It recognizes the everyday people who motivate their households to develop and practice a home fire escape plan; these seemingly basic behaviors can have life-saving impact. The youngsters got a chance to see all the different equipment, take a look around the station and visit with our local volunteers. Photos courtesy of Grygla School
