Grygla Cup Hockey Tournament

Local teams face off for glory
The Grygla Cup Hockey Tournament was held Saturday, February 1st, at the Brian W. Olson Memorial Arena in Grygla, bringing together teams for an exciting day of fast-paced, competitive hockey action. While the Grygla Flames team had to withdraw due to a lack of players, their spot was filled by the Roosevelt team, ensuring the tournament went on as planned.
For the second year in a row, Red Lake Falls claimed the championship, proving their dominance on the ice. They were followed by Roosevelt in second place, Williams in third, and the local Ice Devils rounding out the competition in fourth.
The event was a great showcase of the region’s hockey talent, with plenty of action-packed moments and a laid-back atmosphere that made for a fun, community-centered event. The photos taken highlight the energy and enthusiasm displayed throughout the day! Check out the team pictures on the back page.
Congratulations to all the teams who participated, and especially to Red Lake Falls for their back-to-back victory. The Grygla Cup continues to be a highlight of the winter season in the area!
