The State Shoot provides Minnesota 4-H youth with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the year through practice, competition and hands-on learning. In addition to marksmanship, Shooting Sports encourages youth to develop concentration, responsibility, safety awareness, goal-setting and teamwork.

Clearwater County 4-H would like to extend a special thank-you to the 4-H Shooting Sports coaches and Shooting Sports coordinator for the time, knowledge and encouragement they provide to help youth develop their skills and prepare for opportunities like the State Shoot. A special thank-you also goes to the National Rifle Association (NRA) for its support of the 4-H Shooting Sports program and the opportunities it helps provide for youth.

Clearwater County 4-H is proud of the six youth who represented the county at the State Shoot. Their participation and accomplishments are a reflection of the time, effort and dedication they have put into developing their skills throughout the 4-H year.
