Grygla’s Relay for Life team, Chix from the Stix, played a huge role in last Friday night’s Relay for Life event at the Marshall County Fairgrounds in Warren. As of right now, Grygla’s Chix have raised an impressive $9,851.00, which will benefit the American Cancer Society, Marshall County Relay for Life.
Due to the rainy weather last Friday evening, the Relay walking portion, “Walk of Hope”, had to be postponed. It has been rescheduled for June 21st at the Marshall County Fairgrounds from 6-10pm. There will be a free-will offering supper, entertainment, recognition of teams, survivors and the luminary ceremony that evening.
Upcoming events for the Chix include the rescheduled “Walk of Hope” on June 21st, but first, their Gazebo Night! The Chix from the Stix are hosting an entertainment evening at the Veterans Gazebo in Grygla on Thursday, June 16th. The team will be serving a free-will supper starting at 6pm, with fun singing entertainment for the entire family to follow. Relay captain and cancer survivor, Karen Severts, promises a great variety of local talent sure to entertain! All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society, Marshall County Relay for Life.
Grab your lawn chair and head to the Veterans Memorial Gazebo for a fun evening benefitting a great organization.
