Torkelson, Janet O.

(January 26, 1944 - August 22, 2015)

Janet was born in International Falls, MN, and grew up in Plummer. On October 27, 1962 in Plummer, she married Duane Torkelson of Trail. After they were married they moved to South Milwaukee, where they settled and raised their family. They have been married for over 52 years.

Janet, (nee Peterson) of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Born to eternal life August 22, 2015 at the age of 71 years.  Beloved wife of Duane A. Torkelson of So. Milwaukee WI.  Loving mother of Shelly Torkelson, S. Milwaukee, WI; Todd (Stephanie) Torkelson. S. Millwaukee WI; Jodi (Reinaldo) Mesa, Elk Grove, CA; Shawn Torkelson, S. Milwaukee, WI;  Robbie Torkelson, S. Milwaukee, WI .  Proud grandmother of Amanda, Bryan, Brytni and Duane and great-grandmother of Abella and Hunter. Dear sister of Lorna (Merle) Jesme, TRF; Milton (Janice) Peterson, Staples; and Allan (Mary Havisto) Peterson, Blaine. Sister-in-law of Edith (Sheldon-deceased) Dolitsky, St. Charles, MO; Betty (Joseph) Caswell, Fredricksburg, VA, and Margaret (Thomas) Larson, Clearbrook. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.  Interment Forest Hill Memorial Park.
