his dental training at the University of Minnesota School of
Dentistry earning his B.S and then his D.D.S. Degree in 1962. David

During David's undergraduate studies, he married Janice Lee Vincent
(Kitty) and began a family including; Robyn Sandwick (Johnson),

After his Service in the Navy, David chose to return to northern

As all who knew David can attest to, he had an infectious zest for
life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, scuba diving,
gardening, telling stories and simply living.
During David's years of active dental practice, he volunteered his
professional services in Honduras for many years. His love of travel
also led him to volunteer in places such as Papua New Guinea, Belize and
Bethel Alaska. After his retirement he spent a short stint as the
ship's resident dentist.
His zest for life touched so many family and friends. We were
blessed to know him and continue to be blessed by our memories of
him.
