RLC defeats Clearbrook-Gonvick

January 28 the Red Lake County Rebels played in Oklee against Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears. At half time the score was 48-33, with the Rebels leading. The second half the scoring was close with the Rebels edging out the Bears 41-40. At the end of the game the score was 89-73 with the Rebels winning.
The Rebels and the Bears both made 39% of their shots. The Rebels made 79% of their free throws and the Bears 44%. The Rebels out-rebounded the Bears by 35-20.
The Rebels player Drake Engelstad made 31 total points including 16 of 18 free throws and 10 total rebounds, Will Duden had four steals and 27 total points, Austin Waliser had 15 rebounds and scored 14points, Austin May had eight points, Devin Lambert four, Talon Porter two, Marcus Christensen two, and Justin Nemec one.
The Bears’ Tristan Brakke had 20 points, Hunter Churness 17, Luke Burgess 11, Sam Lavin 10, Eric Baanrud nine, Trevor Rogstad five and Elliot Dickey one.
