Rebels 8th Grade Wins Basketball Tournament

The Red Lake County Rebels Boys’ Basketball team competed in an eighth grade tournament in East Grand Forks on Saturday, December 10. In pool play, the Rebels beat Stephen-Argyle by nine points followed by a 13 point win over Crookston. Teams were seeded by how they did in pool play then put into brackets.
In the bracket part of the tournament, the Rebels beat Stephen-Argyle again. In the championship game, the RLC Rebels came out victorious over Thief River Falls by three points. The four wins in the tournament puts the Rebels at 5-0 on the season.
Nine teams participated in the tournament including the Rebels, Stephen-Argyle, Crookston, Thief River Falls, Sacred Heart, Warren, East Grand Forks, Fisher-Climax, and Badger-Greenbush-Middle River.
