Services for Yvonne Dahl

Yvonne Dahl, 82, of Gonvick, Minnesota died on May 11. 2018 at Essentia Health – Living Center in Fosston, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, MN at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Kris Snyder officiating.   Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Samhold Lutheran Cemetery in Gonvick, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Yvonne was born May 21, 1935, the daughter of Bennie and Blanche (Paulson) Tharaldson, in Polk County, Gully, MN.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and she graduated from Gonvick High School.  She was united in marriage to Francis Dahl on May 22, 1954 at Bagley, Minnesota. To this marriage a son, Ryan, was born.  Yvonne enjoyed music, she and her husband, Francis played guitars and sang with dance bands all around the area throughout the years.  Yvonne was a member of the Samhold Lutheran church, a member of Samhold Lutheran Church WNALC.  She worked a number of years at the Gonvick Creamery, Arctic Enterprises, Gonvick Mercantile, and Winsor Lefse Plant.   She enjoyed dancing and “dining out” with Francis, also singing in the bands. 

She is survived by her Brother - Ray (Carole) Tharaldson of Gully, MN

Sister – Gloria Storrusten of West Fargo, ND

Many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son – Ryan and two brothers – Roy and David Tharaldson and one sister – Joyce Bratvold
