Services for Thomas (Tom) Joe Larson
Thomas (Tom) Joe Larson, 73 of Clearbrook, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Due to COVID restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Tom was born January 7, 1947 to Vern and Jo (Efraimson) Larson in Bagley, Minnesota. He attended Clearbrook High School and graduated in 1965. In February 1966, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in November 1969.
Tom went to work for Lakehead Pipeline (Enbridge) in June 1970. He worked for Enbridge until his retirement in January 2002.
Tom was united in marriage to Margaret Torkelson on November 1, 1970. Three children were born to this union.
Tom farmed for 47 years (20 years with his father) raising grain, hay, and livestock.
In 2003, he started his second career hauling gravel for Jorgenson Construction and continued until the time of his death.
Tom’s passion was fishing on Lake of the Woods and other area lakes with family and friends.
Snowmobiling, going for ATV rides, Tom also liked to do field work and when he retired from farming, he would help out the neighbors. He made daily visits to the gas station in Clearbrook for coffee. He made daily visits to Jeff Jorgenson and always had a story for Jeff.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 50 years; son, William (Willie) and daughter, Heidi both of Clearbrook; son Chad (Heather) of Baudette. Three grandsons, Gavin and Trevor Bergstrom of Clearbrook and Archer Larson of Baudette.

Nieces: Joann (Pat) Greendahl, Darcie (Jason) Caswell, Sherri Dolitsky, Shelly Torkelson, Jodi (Rei) Mesa, and Sheila Dolitsky.
As well as numerous cousin, great nieces nephews and neighbors he visited with on a daily basis who they called Tommy.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Vern & Jo Larson; brother William; father-in law Bennie and mother-in law Lily Torkelson; sister Joan; niece Sharon Bjerke Stoller, nephew Steven Bjerke, Nephew Shawn Torkelson
