Shirley Ann Sundquist, age 77, departed this life to join her husband Don, on Monday, July 27, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.
Shirley was born on May 22, 1938 in Gully, MN to Nels and Nora Marie (Bjerklie) Nelson. She graduated High School and married Donald Sundquist. Shirley will be remembered by her smile and sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at United Lutheran Church in Berner, MN. Pastor Kris Snyder will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at Untied Lutheran Cemetery in Berner, MN. A luncheon will be served after at the Gully Hall. A celebration of her life will be held at her Proctor home at a later date.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
She is survived by her sons, Shane (Melissa) Sundquist of Gonvick, MN, Jonathan Sundquist of Duluth, MN; her daughter, Vali Sundquist of Proctor, MN; her sisters, Gladys and Audrey; her sister-in-law, Jean of Eveleth, MN; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many, many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her son, Kirby; sisters, Irene, Jeanette, Petra, Mae, Doris, Yvonne, Patricia; and brothers, Joel, James, and Kermit.
