Services for Sarah A. Hansen
Sarah A. Hansen, 76, died on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home in Clearbrook, MN.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cease Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at Seljord Lutheran Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Sarah was born on April 14, 1943 in Red Lake County, Minnesota to Francis and Myrtle (Charboneau) Plante. She grew up in the Brooks area and attended Oklee School. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith, and years later was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Sarah was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Hansen, at Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, MN on May 26, 1979. Together they made a home in Clearbrook. Over the years, Sarah worked at Artic Cat, Nortec, Crane’s Meat Market, and Team Industries. She wasn’t afraid to jump into any new position or take on a new challenge. Sarah enjoyed baking, gardening, and playing cards. She lovingly handmade an afghan for each of her grandchildren. She loved talking and being with her family. Sarah adored children and animals. Her special dog Dolly was taught many tricks. She had a big heart and will be tremendously missed.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Hansen of Clearbook, MN; her children, Karen (Randy) Huppert of River Falls, WI, Betty (Norman) Meter of Bagley, MN, Peggy (David) Rosnow of Gully, MN, and Wayne (Lisa) Horn of Gaston, NC; 8 grandchildren, Grace (Stephen) Lintner, Anna Walton, Charles Walton, Jack (Liz Wallace) Huppert, Stephanie (Clover) Street, Sierra (Dusty) Gilbertson, Caleb Horn, and Carter Horn; 4 great grandchildren, Penny Gilbertson, Easton Gilbertson, Kalea Street, and Josie Huppert; her sisters, Linda “Carol” Rodreguez of Fort Worth, TX and Lois Plante of Winger, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Myrtle Plante; her daughter, Vicki Horn; her grandson, Miles Rosnow; her siblings, Ernest Plante, Frank Jr. Plante, Johnny Plante, Robert Plante, Eunice Qualley, and Judy Olson; her infant siblings, John and Verna; and her ex-husband, Ernest Horn.
