Ruth was born March 23, 1927 in Clearwater County to Alma and Sidney Churness. Ruth was baptized April 24, 1927 in Greenwood Church. Ruth married Arthur (Snook) Bagne April 15, 1946 and they were co-owners of Bagne Oil Company till sold in 1986. Arthur passed away on May 4, 1988. Arthur and Ruth raised three children in Gonvick. Ruth loved her kids and enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, rosemaling and just being with people. On December 1989 Ruth married Helmer Hanson of Gonvick and they were happily married for 27 years living on the farm. The two of them enjoyed the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, traveling, playing cards, Church, Bible Studies and visiting with friends and relatives. Ruth had a Servant’s heart as she took care of family and nonfamily members whenever someone was in need. Ruth is an example of Proverbs 31 women (a women beloved by God and known by friends and family by her goodly actions). Ruth was amazing because she gave us a clear-cut example of what God describes as a righteous woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
