Services for Rose Mandt
Rose Mandt, age 90, of Oklee, MN, died peacefully Sunday, December 11, 2016.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM in Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with Reverend Margaret Jacobus Officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Rose Mary Rahier was born December 22, 1925 in Equality Township, Red Lake County, MN, the daughter of Wilfred “Bill” and Alpha (Bender) Rahier. She attended the Golden Rule School through the 7th grade and graduated in 1945 from Oklee High School.
On November 19, 1945, Rise was united in marriage to Maynerd Mandt at Zion Lutheran Church, Oklee, by Reverend Lehrol.
Rose and Maynerd moved to Milwaukee, WI and lived there for 3 years. The couple moved back to Oklee where they farmed. In 1958, they moved into Oklee and Rose worked in the quilting shop at Oklee.
Rose was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Oklee and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing Bridge, the Red Hat Society and church quilting.
She is survived by nieces and nephews: Gary Rahier, Gayle Flateland, Deb (Greg) Whalen, Sheryl Payne, Warren (Leanna), Wayne (Jennifer) Emmer, Scott (Lisa) Emmer, David (Susan) Mandt, Richard “Dick” (Gay) Mandt, Candy Ketelsleger, Suzanne Fleegle, Kevin (Carrie) Mandt; brother-in-law: Ferdi Mandt, sisters-in-law: Glady Ackerman and Norma Mandt; along with several great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Maynerd in 1995; parents; brothers: LeRoy (Janis) Rahier and Earl Rahier in infancy; sister: Ethel and Bud Emmer and a sister-in-law: Mary Jane Mandt, brother-in-law Orvin Mandt, along with many other brothers and sisters-in-law
