Services for Rose Bregier
Rose Alma Bregier, 94 of Red Lake Falls, MN died peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Adam Hamness presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Rose Alma Marie Reopelle was born April 26, 1921 in Red Lake Falls, MN, at her parent’s home, the daughter of Euclide and Delia (LaPlante) Reopelle. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Badger Creek Country School.
On April 9, 1940, Rose Alma was united in marriage to George Bregier. The couple built a little house in Red Lake Falls. Her husband, George, was drafted into the United States Army and served in World War II. Following his Honorable Discharge they bought a farm in 1943, in Gervais Township, near Plummer, MN. Rose Alma loved being a farm wife and homemaker.
She enjoyed quilting, raising chickens and making and painting farm ornaments. Rose Alma was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by seven children: Gerald Bregier, Erskine, MN, Dolores Harrison, Minneapolis, MN, Jane (David) Johnson, Princeton, MN, Vern (Shirley) Bregier, Red Lake Falls, MN, Rose (fiancé Jim) Senn, Metamora, FL, George Bregier, Sioux Falls, SD and Linda (Paul) Richter, Le Sueur, MN; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Rose Alma was preceded in death by husband, George, in 1990; parents; sons-in-law Ronald Harrison and Michael Senn; grandson Shawn Senn; three sisters: Laura Riel, Florida Phillips and Dora Derosier; and one brother, Eugene Reopelle.
