Services for Pearl Anderson

Pearl Helen Anderson, 85, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at her home.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji with Rev. Andrew Ronnevik officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at the Sinclair Township Cemetery in Leonard under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Pearl was born June 20, 1930 in Whidbey Island, Washington, the daughter of Iver and Josie (Kirkvold) Hoven. She moved with her family as a young girl to the Pinewood area where she was raised and educated. She was married to Marvin Diseth and had three children until a tragic logging accident took his life. She married Kenneth Anderson on Dec. 4, 1959 in Bemidji. She and Kenneth were life long dairy farmers in Sinclair Township near Leonard. She worked hard milking cows and taking care of the farm. They retired in 1976 after selling the dairy farm and they moved to Bemidji area. They wintered in Marble Falls, Texas several years. She was an amazing cook who will be long remembered for her tasty Lefse. She loved to visit with family and friends and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she fashioned many quilts with the quilting group. She also enjoyed giving away most of her beautiful crochet work.

She is survived by her 6 daughters- Carol (Warren) Thompson of Warroad, MN, Julie (Richard) Dunsmore of Frankfort, SD, Ivy (Kevin) Fieldsend of Devils Lake, ND, Holly (Lee) Christianson of Lolo, MT, Sheila (Mike) Johnson of Bemidji, MN, Michelle (John) Printz of Framingham, Mass., 2 sons- Roger Diseth of Lengby, MN, Kearny (Lorna) Anderson of Buckley, WA, 20 grandchildren   22 great grandchildren, Sister- Stella Dryke of Duluth, MN, Brother – Iver Hoven of Superior, Wisconsin, and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, her parents, a sister- Jane Langerak, and 2 brothers- Jonny and Alfred Hoven.

Casketbearers will be Paul Olafson, Steven Olafson, Shannon Diseth, Maverick Otteson, Dillon Otteson, Chad Thompson and Cristian Zanc.
