Norman Neset, 89, formerly of Fosston, died Monday, November 18 at Ecumen Emmanual's Transitional Care Unit in Detroit Lakes, MN.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on December 14, Saturday, at 1:00 pm in the Clearbrook American Legion 256.
Norm graduated from the Fosston High school in 1948. He served in the Airforce during the Korean War then graduated from the Mayville State University in 1965 with Bachelor's of Science Degree and Education. In 1967, he earned his Masters of Science degree from NDSU.
During his teaching career, Norm taught high school sciences and math in Oregon, North and South Dakota and Minnesota. During the last 11 years of his teaching career, he taught shop at the Fergus Falls State Hospital.
Norm is survived by two sons, Bryan Neset, Pelican Rapids, Mn, and Dwight Neset, Clitheral, MN, and a daughter, Valerie Neset, Fargo, ND, a one sister, Lucille (Duane) VanDame, Bismark, ND and his heart family: Janice Nelson, his partner of 17 years, Crystal and Jessie Smith, Jared and Tanya Nelson and Lawerence, Autumn, Jazmyn, Devin, Keenan, Justin and Tahya.
