Services for Mildred Dietrich
Mildred Dietrich, age 89, of McIntosh, MN, on Monday, August 13th, at McIntosh Senior Living. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Sand Hill Cemetery, Sletten Township, MN. Mildred Charmayne (Nelson) Dietrich was born on August 25, 1928 to parents Edwin and Ingeborg (Tveit) Nelson in McIntosh, MN. She attended McIntosh Public School, graduated from McIntosh High School in 1946 and attended Duluth State Teacher’s College and Bemidji State Teacher’s College.
Mildred was united in marriage to Robert Dietrich on September 14, 1949 at “The Little Brown Church in the Vale” in Iowa. After their marriage, they lived in Shelly, MN, Bottineau, ND, Gardena, ND, and McIntosh where she retired.
Mildred taught school at Sutton, ND and McIntosh. She was secretary/bookkeeper for their family business – B & D Elevator Construction in Gardena, ND and later was employed by Lutheran Social Services of Moorhead in McIntosh.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, relatives and friends.
Mildred went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 13, 2018 at McIntosh Senior Living at the age of 89 years.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; and three sisters, Alice DuRose, Eva Falkenberg, and Thelma Busey.
Survivors include her daughter, Marsha (John) German of Missoula, MT, her sons, Michael of McIntosh and Steven of Tioga, ND; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jacob and Brittany (Torrey) Carlson; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
She will be greatly missed.
