Services for Marvin Jerome Lindberg

Marvin Jerome Lindberg, 84, of Leonard, Minnesota passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the home where he was born near Leonard, Minnesota.


Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Norway Lake Cemetery in Leonard, Minnesota. Due to COVID-19 masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. Please bring your own chair. There will also be a Celebration of Life held at a later date in the spring or summer, once restrictions have lifted. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.


He was born in Leonard, Minnesota on May 8, 1936 to Edward and Elenor (Matson) Lindberg. On October 27, 1956 Marvin was united in marriage to Ardella Churness at First Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota. They celebrated almost 64 years together. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He loved to farm. Marvin was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leonard, MN and was Treasurer of Dudley Township for 35 years. He will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor.


He is survived by his wife, Ardella Lindberg; his son, Kevin (Ann) Lindberg; his daughter, Shari (Jim) Davenport; his grandchildren, Hannah Lindberg, Jessica, Luke, and Lindsey; his step granddaughter, Shannon Davenport; his great granddaughter, Chloe; and many other family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elenor Lindberg; his brothers, Bill Lindberg and David Lindberg; and his niece, Julie Lindberg.
