Services for Louis Conrad Anderson

Louis Conrad Anderson, 82 of Bemidji, MN died on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home in Bemidji, MN.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be at a later date the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. 
He was born on March 25, 1933,in Litchfield, MN, the son of Ernest and Frieda (Peterson) Anderson. As a young boy his family moved to a farm near Fosston, MN. He was raised and educated in Fosston, graduating from Fosston High School. He attended school in Fargo, ND and learned to be a mechanic. Soon after he was drafted into the US Army, he served 16 months and was Honorably Discharged. He moved to East Glacier Park, Montana, and worked in Glacier National Park for 14 years. He met and later married Evelyn Chwialkowski, together they had four children. In 1970 he moved his family to Rosemount, MN where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for J.I. Case and Co. After his retirement he moved north to the Clearbrook, MN area. In 2005, together with Shirley Lee, they moved to Bemidji, MN. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and photography. He had a pilot’s license and loved to fly his own airplane and remote controlled model planes as well. He was a talented carpenter and mechanic, who used his talents to help friends and family alike. He loved to talk, he would visit with any human being who would chat with him and made friends wherever he went. He loved spending time with his family and friends. 
He is survived by his Best Friend, Shirley Lee of Bemidji, Children, Jim Anderson of Minneapolis, MN. Jerry (Theresa) Anderson of Mankato, MN, Mike (Julie) Anderson of Rosemount, MN. Mary (Pat) McCoy of Victoria, MN, Grandchildren, Jenna Anderson, Josh Anderson, Ben Anderson, Louis Anderson, Lauren Anderson, Zach McCoy, Kailey McCoy, and MacKenzie McCoy. 
Brothers, John (Ingrid) Anderson of Shingle Springs, CA, Marvin Anderson of Farmington, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Severin Anderson, Evelyn Farmer, and granddaughter Josie Anderson.
Louis’ family would like to thank Bemidji Sanford Hospice, the Bemidji VA Clinic, and the Fargo VA Hospital for the wonderful care he received. They would also like to thank the staff of Raphael’s Bakery for their special friendship. He considered all these people his family.
