Lois Marie Budish went home to Jesus on March 4, 2021 in Mesa, AZ, after a 9-year battle with cancer, at age 67. Lois was born to Juane and Yvonne “Bunny” Johnson of Gonvick, MN on June 11, 1953. She is survived by Todd Budish, her husband of 48 years, children Matthew (Alaina) Budish, Jereme (Jean) Budish and Terah (Paul) Snobl, grandchildren Shawn, Ella, Ava, Holly, Ayden, Luke, Brooke and Arya, and three siblings James (Diane) Johnson, Michael (Marla) Johnson and Heidi (Billy) Price. Lois is predeceased by her parents.
After marrying Todd on January 27, 1973, Lois earned her Registered Nurse degree and excelled in the field of nursing for 45 years, mainly in the area of labor and delivery. Before and after retiring from nursing, Lois led home, neighborhood and church Bible studies as well as Bible-themed events. To instill God’s Word in her children, grandchildren and extended family in a fun way, Lois conducted “Cousin Camp” and “Deck Church” at the family’s MN lake home.
As a nurse, Bible teacher and person, Lois was highly regarded by those whose lives she touched. Her husband, children and grandchildren will forever “rise up and call her blessed” for the part she had in shaping their lives. Although her family and many others will greatly miss Lois, we are comforted by the blessed assurance that she is present with the Lord and that we will one day see her again.
Lois’s life will be honored at a memorial service on May 22, 2021, at 1:00pm at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church in Clearbrook, MN. All who wish to join the family in remembering a life well lived are invited.
