Services for Leif Haugen
Leif Haugen ,89, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota with Pastor Verlyn Strenge and Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN. Interment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery near Clearbrook, MN.
Leif was born on October 22, 1930 at Gonvick, MN, the son of Ole and Florence (Johnson) Haugen. He attended Gonvick High School and married Devona Bergeson on November 2, 1957 at Clearbrook, MN. Leif was self-employed and lived in both Clearbrook and Bagley. He always put his faith in Jesus first. Leif was always praying for family and friends in need. He enjoyed reading his Bible and often shared verses and stories he had read. His dream was to see, each and everyone he knew in Heaven with him. Leif had such a deep love and appreciation for his family. He often asked where everyone was going, or he was heading to the farm to check on Mike and Jesse. He often wondered when Tammy was coming home to spoil him or was talking to Tony on the phone. He enjoyed always being busy or was always teasing Val and Ken, which was their way of showing love. Leif enjoyed giving those he loved nicknames. Leif, to his family, was a man full of strength and had a heart full of gold. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clearbrook and the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Bagley. He cherished his church family and the relationship he had with each and every person. Leif enjoyed spending time driving around with the love of his life “Dolly”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Florence Haugen; His grandsons – Jeremy Baumann and Logan Dukek; Siblings - Arthur Haugen, Orville Haugen, Emma Satran, Dorothy Lindgren and Doris Larson.
