Services for Kimberly Johs

 
Kimberly Johs, 50, of West Burlington, died at 10:20 PM Sunday, April 18, 2021, at home surrounded by family and her best friend.
Born January 4, 1971, in Oklee, MN, she was the daughter of Charles and Carol Boucher Bachand. On December 30, 1994, she married Richard Jason Johs in Oklee, MN. 
She worked for Great River Medical Center for 27 years as a dietitian.
She was a 1989 graduate of Oklee High School in Oklee, MN and a 1993 graduate of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND. 
She was a member of the American Dietetic Association and the National Kidney Foundation. Kimberly loved her faith above all. She was very active in the church, taking on many roles. She was a Eucharistic Minister, taught children's liturgy, was a sponsor for Right of Christian Initiation for Adults, and she and Rich were a Marriage Sponsor Couple. She loved her kids, and always enjoyed going to see them participate in the many activities and sports they were involved in. She was a coffee snob, and loved her prayer time at Starbucks. She was always looking forward to a trip to see family, whether it be back to the farm, or taking a trip with her sisters and mother.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Bachand; husband, Richard Jason Johs of West Burlington; children, Adam Johs of Iowa City, IA and Rachel and Lucas Johs both of West Burlington; three sisters, Michele (Jim) Weber of Golden, CO, Mary (Jeff) Novacek of Phoenix, AZ, and Karin (TJ) Dulka of Minneapolis, MN; and one brother, Tony Bachand of Oklee, MN. 
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles.
Visitation will be from noon until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM following a 3:00 PM prayer service Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. 
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Johs will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2021, at Burlington Notre Dame High School Father Minett Gymnasium with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz officiating.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of  Prugh Crematory. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Notre Dame Catholic School or Divine Mercy Parish. 
Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
