Funeral Services for today have been canceled for Karen Olson, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will at Clover Cemetery in the Spring. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Rescheduled for Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Clearbrook.
Karen Olson 84, of Leonard, Minnesota died on Sunday, December 11, 20222 at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab in Bagley, Minnesota.

Karen was born December 14, 1938, the daughter of Alfred and Claire (Lathrop) Everhart at Park Rapids, Minnesota. She was baptized in the Baptist faith. She graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1956. Karen married Gordon Allen Olson on November 11, 1957, at Clearbrook, MN. They lived in Mt. Iron until 1967, when they moved to Bellevue, Iowa. The couple finally settled in Leonard in 1976, where they dairy farmed. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clearbrook. Faith was especially important to Karen, and she enjoyed reading the Bible. She enjoyed going on drives through Itasca State Park, listening to Gordy play the guitar and riding motorcycle with her husband. Karen loved Poinsettias and had a love for animals. She adored her dairy cows and had a passion for horses, dogs and cats. Karen had a soft comforting voice, and her door was always open, family ad neighbors were always welcome and stopping by. She watched over everyone and loved her family very much.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; Her husband - Gordon; two sons – Harlan Olson and Marlan Olson; one daughter – Vicki McPherson; Sisters – Lois and Alice Ann.
