Services for Judith Christy
Judith Christy, of Oklee, MN passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her home at the age of 69.
A memorial service will follow at a later date.
Judith Ann (Nestrud) Christy was born on June 3, 1949 in Stillwater, MN. She was the third of thirteen children born to Truman and Monna (Wulf) Nestrud.
On June 13, 1978 Judith married Roger E. Christy in Las Cruces, NM. Roger passed away in 2000.
In 2002 Judith met and fell in love with Greg Benson. Together they made their home in New Mexico and Minnesota.
Judith was a “Jane of all trades.” She enjoyed working with her hands and being outdoors. Judith was fascinated with beautiful things that flew, which earned her the name, “Butterfly Lady.”
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Monna Nestrud; brothers, Roger and Truman (Mick) Nestrud; and sister Eileen Briggs; sisters-in-law, Janice Nestrud and Joyce Templar; brothers-in-law, Arlen Ellingson, Patrick Krause, and Ken Ehrhardt
She is survived by her daughter, Dorthy (Bill) Troup; grandchildren, Angel (Josh) Troup and William (Amber) Troup; great-granddaughter, Amy Zae Troup; loving partner, Greg Benson; brothers and sisters, Sandy, Carol, Ken (Cindy), Steve (Crystal), Laurie (Dan), Ron (Helen), Diane, Linda (Jim), Karen (Ray); sisters-in-law, Linda Nestrud and Thomasene (Jim) Brunswick; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
