Services for Jesse Darrell Haugen
Jesse Darrell Haugen, 37, of Bemidji, MN died on Thursday, June 28, 2018 as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident.
Jesse was born September 2, 1980 in Shakopee, MN, the son of Darrell and LaNea (Appel) Haugen. He was raised in Winger; graduating from Win-E-Mac in 1999. He attended the North Dakota School of Science in Wahpeton; receiving his Civil Technician degree. He moved to Chatfield for a short time before moving to Bemidji to work for Freeberg and Grund. He met Andrea Brateng in 2005, while working in Roseau, MN. They were blessed with their son Kaden on June 26, 2007 and were married October 18, 2008. They were doubly blessed when their daughter Britten was born on August 31, 2010. In 2011, he started working for Widseth Smith Nolting where he continued to work until his tragic passing. He loved and was most happy when he was with his family; wife, children, parents, brother and friends. He enjoyed camping, fishing, photography, riding his motorcycle, cooking and eating Andrea’s sweets and others too. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed a good challenge.
When asked of his children, what they would remember most about their dad, Britten said "He is the best pancake maker in the world!" Kaden said that he liked that his Dad took the time to teach him about a bunch of stuff about motors and would work on different projects with him.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea; son, Kaden; daughter, Britten; father, Darrell (Jenny Titus); mother, LaNea Appel; brother, Josh (Tina); nephew, Carder; niece and God daughter, Chloe; father-in-law, Ival (Clara Robb) Brateng; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, 2 uncles, 1 aunt, mother-in-law, Arlene and his brother-in-law, Kevin.
