Services for Jerome C. Arnold
Jerome C. Arnold, 74, of Bagley, MN passed away on Friday, April 1st, 2022 peacefully at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley. Interment will be held the Gran Cemetery at a later date.
Jerome was born on April 28, 1947 in Bagley, MN to Jacob and Marcella (Huschle) Arnold. He grew up in rural Bagley and attended Bagley Public School. Jerome grew up helping on the family farm. In the late 70's, he purchased the family farm from his parents. Farming was in his blood, and it was his passion for many years. In the fall of 2011, due to some health problems, Jerome decided to retire by his definition. He sold the family farm to his two sons, where he continued to work side by side with them. Jerome also worked at Bagley Livestock, and Headwaters Meats, where many great friendships and memories have been made. Jerome married Linda Drellack, on September 27, 1975 in Fosston and together they had three children; Chris, Matt and Katie. His second greatest passion was fishing, he particularly favored ice fishing. Jerome would get excited when his family, especially his grandchildren, were able to accompany him on the ice and sometimes on the water. He enjoyed making his rounds to the neighbors and giving them a meal of fish and having a good visit. When Jerome was not farming or fishing, you could find him playing solitaire in the dining room. If he wasn’t at home, he would be with his brothers and good friends playing cards. He was always looking for a good card game! Jerome also enjoyed deer hunting with his farmers permit that he got from his father. He always looked forward to seeing the hunting crew every year and playing a card game or two!
Jerome is survived by his sons - Christopher J. Arnold, Matthew J. Arnold of Bagley, MN; his daughter- Katie M Arnold (Lon Vettleson) of Trail, MN; grandchildren - Logan, Landen, Loryn, and Levi Vettleson; sisters - LuVerne Yocum, Joan Benson, Zelda (Keith) Avery and Kathleen Lansford; brothers - Ronnie (Melinda) Arnold, Ralph (Jan) Arnold, Leo (Kathy) Arnold, Alvin (Denise) Arnold and John (Brenda) Arnold; sisters-in-law - Linda Arnold (Richard) and Linda Arnold (Gene), many cousins and 48 beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Richard Arnold and Gene Arnold; infant brother -Lawrence Arnold; brothers-in-law - John Yocum and Gordon Benson. His niece - Carol Arnold and great nephew - Trandem Kappedal.
