Janet (Neslund) Bakke, 81, of Clearbrook, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Sanford Bagley Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, Minnesota with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Aure, Minnesota. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Janet Lucretia Neslund was born on February 2, 1941 to parents, John and Clara (Walberg) Neslund. She grew up on a farm near Clearbrook where she attended school. She married Victor Zeman and to this union one son was born, Darrin, while living in Wisconsin. After they divorced, Janet married Marvin Bakke and they resided in North Dakota, and Minnesota.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara; her husband, Marv Bakke; her sister, Bernice Shelquist; and brothers, Curt Peterson and Charles and Rodney Neslund.
She is survived by her son, Darrin Zeman; her grandchildren, Kayla and Brandon Zeman; her sister, Sue (Bob) Eck; her sister-in-law, Rita Neslund; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and also a long-time friend and former classmate, Shirley Aakre, who was always there to help her.
