Services for Ida Marie Steindl

Ida Marie Steindl, 102, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, Minnesota. 
 
Funeral services will be held on, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at The Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, Minnesota.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery. 
 
She was born on April 15, 1916 at Clearbrook, Minnesota the oldest of eight children to parents John and Johanna (Fenn) Loun.  She went to school until the eighth grade.  Ida married Vincent Wallace “Wally” Steindl on September 24, 1933 at Bagley, Minnesota.  They had one son, Calvin Warren Steindl.  Ida and Wally were together for 65 years before his passing.  As a farm wife, she spent a lot of time in the fields, along with cooking and canning.  She also did a lot of sewing, embroidery and crocheting.  She loved her flowers and did most of the lawn mowing, well into her 90’s.  Ida worked at Wolhowes Grocery in Bagley, located where the Co-op Oil is now.  She sold groceries and candled eggs.  Ida then worked for Clearwater-Polk Electric for 20 years as a receptionist at the front desk, retiring in 1981.  She was also an Avon Lady for many years.  She loved to drive so this job was great.  She was still driving until she went into the nursing home in July of 2013.  At Cornerstone, she loved Bingo, and usually won.  She also loved music and would sing along.  
 
She is survived by her daughter-in-law – JoAnn Steindl of Bagley, Minnesota
Grandchildren – Darin Steindl of Moorhead, Minnesota
Chad (Tammy) Steindl of Bagley, Minnesota
Four great grandchildren – Josie (Dallion) Rueb of Bagley, Minnesota, Richard Reed III of Minneapolis, Becca (Matt) Wilson of Ohio, and Cadie Hamilton of Minneapolis
Three great great grandchildren – Kaibren, Ella, Owen and unborn baby due in July; Special Former neighbors – Kelly & Julie Derby and Family of Bagley, Minnesota
And many nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Wally, her son – Calvin, Four brothers – Elias, Bennie, Joe and Goodwin; Three sisters – Hanna, Jennie and Odella and one great grandson – Jerald
