Services held for Marion Kathryn Zavoral Vencill

April 24, 1929-June 9, 2015

Marion Kathryn Zavoral Vencill went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2015 at Maplewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sauk Prairie. She was born on April 24, 1929 at the Zavoral family homestead near Grygla, MN. She is the daughter of William and Mamie (Huderle) Zavoral, the 8th of 10 children. She was married for 23 years to Glenn L. Vencill; together they raised 3 girls in Janesville, WI. She resided in Durand, IL for the past 25 years where she was an active member of St. Mary Parish and her community. Marion was a people person who thoroughly enjoyed socializing, bowling, golfing, sewing, gardening and various crafts. She worked for several companies over the years, including the Elks Club, Monterey and Norwood Mills, Swiss Colony and Mary Kay Cosmetics (being the first consultant in the Janesville area).

She is survived by her 3 children, Delores (Steven) Gullette, of Monument, CO, Cynthia Barwick, ofJanesville, WI, Patricia (Fred) Griggs, of Windsor, CO; her grandchildren Morgan (Jeremiah) Miller, Spencer Barwick, Iris Barwick, Maggie Griggs and Sophie Griggs. She had one great grandson, Crosby Miller with another great grandchild on the way. Her siblings include; Dolly Kammer, Millie (Walt) Hendrix, Irene (Lee) Rising and Jerome (Judee) Zavoral and many nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings; Robert Zavoral, Ernest Zavoral, Lillian Mowris, Delores Zavoral, and Ronald Zavoral.

There was a Celebration of Life on Monday, June 15, 2015 at The Gathering Place, 715 Campus Street, Milton, WI 53563. A Mass in her honor wsd held at 8:30 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at St Mary Parish, 837 Parkview Drive, Milton, WI 53563.
