Services held for Carol Carver

Carol M. Carver, 84, Hillsboro, ND, died on Tuesday May 2, 2017, in Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, ND as she continued rehabilitation after fracturing her hip in February.
Carol Mae Kaupang was born in Winger, MN, on July 14, 1932, to George “Melvin” and Mildred (Knutson) Kaupang.
She married Howard Carver on January 28, 1956 in McIntosh, MN. They moved to Hillsboro in 1957 where she stayed at home initially caring for the family, later working as a waitress at the local café. She then began working as a Dental Assistant for Dr. J.W. Cochrane’s Dental Office, continuing to work for Dr. David Hegge and completed her many years of dental office work, retiring from Dr. Craig Rothfusz Dental Office.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She found it difficult to retire since she enjoyed her work so much at the dental office. She enjoyed collecting TY Beanie Babies and Precious Moments figurines throughout her lifetime. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends which continued after retirement. She was very proud of her children and daughter-in-law. Her three grandchildren, grandson-in-law and most recently a great-grandchild, whom she got to hold during her time at Rosewood on Broadway, brought her great joy also.
She is survived by her children, Howard (Linda) Carver Jr., Tammy Carver, both of Fargo, N; grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Antony of Fargo, ND, Ashley Carver of Madison, WI, and Lisa Carver, of Fargo, ND. Great-Grandchild Ava Mae Antony of Fargo, ND. Sisters, Marlys (Marshall) Weibye, Judy (David) Hagen, Lorene (Todd) Tranby, Patty Benson, and sister-in-law Mary Goodwin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Leslie Goodwin; brother-in-laws Richard Benson and Dennis Ekeberg.
The funeral was held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 9 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Hilssboro. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Hillsboro, ND.
