Services for Harold “Mokey” Gustafson
Harold “Mokey” Gustafson, 73, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Harold Edward Gustafson was born February 6, 1943 in Fosston, MN the son of Harvey and Dorothy (Lindblad) Gustafson, Dockter. He was raised in McIntosh, MN, graduating from McIntosh High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and later a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of North Dakota. Harold married Ione Evans on June 10, 1967 in Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Stanley, ND. Following their marriage, they resided in Grand Forks. Harold taught first and second grades at Ben Franklin Elementary School from 1966 -1999. Following his retirement, he worked several more years as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional at Ben Franklin and at many other schools in the Grand Forks Public School District, up until Monday.
He is survived by his wife, Ione; brothers, Paul (Julie) Gustafson, Remsen, IA, Michael Gustafson, Frankfurt, KY; a sister, Deborah (John) Perrone, Schertz, TX, a step-brother Alan (Roni) Dockter, Brooklyn Park, MN; an aunt, Mary Gustafson, Ortonville, MN; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Mass: 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 in Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Family Greeting: One hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Friday.
Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Stanley, ND, at a later date.
