Services for Glenn Ivan Levno

Glenn Ivan Levno, 83, of Clearbrook, Minnesota, beloved husband and best friend of Joan (Toews) Levno for 61 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on December 9, 2017.

Glenn was born to Stanley and Rose Arvys (Wenstrom) Levno on November 7, 1934 and raised in Sidney, Montana. At age 18 he accepted God’s gift of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ. After graduating from high school he was in the Army Enlisted Reserve from 1952-1956. Glenn attended and graduated from St. Paul Bible College. While there he met and married Joan (Toews) Levno. Their union was blessed with three loving daughters Valerie Levno of Ashland, Wisconsin, Patricia (Jim) Galloway, and Kristine (Brian) Emmel both of Clearbrook, Minnesota. Over a span of 31 years Glenn was a bank officer in several banks including St. Paul Federal Savings and Loan, Farmers & Merchants State Bank of Clarkfield, First National Bank of Crookston, and the State Bank of Wheaton, all in Minnesota.

Glenn had a great love of God, family, and country which was evidenced by his community involvement. He enjoyed sharing his musical talents, taught Sunday School, and he served and chaired on many boards in the local evangelical churches where he and Joan lived.  He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Lions Club, NCHAA (National Campers & Hikers Association of America), and Gideons International. He and Joan were snowbirds for 19 years, making Superstition Sunrise RV Park in Arizona their winter home and actively attending the Super-Sun Chapel there.

Besides his wife Joan, and daughters, eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren with one on the way, Glenn is survived by his half-sister Helen Dunn, sister Rose Levno, three brothers Arley (Pat Gobbett-Levno) Levno of Arlington, West Virginia, Tom (Lisa Tholen) Levno of Inglewood, California, John (Celinda Anne) Levno of Phoenix, Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Rose Arvys (Wenstrom) Levno and two of his brothers, S. Gene Levno and Paul Levno.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the Clearwater Life Center Senior Connection, Clearwater County Nursing Service, Home At Heart Care, and his Personal Caregivers. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the past years and recent months were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.

A memorial service will be held honoring Glenn on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM with visitation at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 205 Highway 92 SW, Clearbrook
