Gayden Stenseng, 79, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1-hour prior at Grace Chapel South of Bagley, MN with Pastor Chris Conger Officiating.
Gayden Michael Stenseng was born on October 13, 1942 in Bagley, MN the son of Russell and Violet (Sivers) Stenseng. Gayden was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He graduated Clearbrook High School in 1961 and went to College in Thief River Falls, MN graduating in 1963 with a degree in welding. Gayden worked various jobs such as E.M.T. (Emergency Management Training) in Emmitsburg MD in 1981 for Civil Defense Director of Clearwater County, Dahl Plumbing and Heating for 8 years, J & G Repair and was self-employed for several years, retiring in 2012.
Gayden married Connie (Gordon) on December 11, 1965. In 1974 they took a trip to Norway and ate dinner in the house where his grandfather Fredrick L. Stenseng was born. Gayden’s faith was very important to him; he was a member of Grace Free Lutheran Church, and Grace Chapel South of Bagley. He went on a mission Trip with his son Leese to Panama. Gayden was on the board of Northern Lutheran Mission in Red Lake, MN for many years. He was a past President for 2 years on the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers and served on the Bagley Fire Department for 21 years, serving as Fire Chief for 2 years.
Gayden was big into storing telling, music, metal work fabrication, woodworking, old antique gas engines and tractors. He was a great dad and grandpa and he will surely be missed. For the past 7 years, he enjoyed spending time with his special friend Margaret Sherek.

Bryantt (Ellen) Bolduc, Tyler (Brittany) Truman, and Marni (Brandon) Wastweet.
Sister-Winnie Rholl of Fertile, MN.
Brothers-Russell Jr. (Sherry) Stenseng of El Dorado, KS.
Daniel Stenseng (Annie Granitz) of Bagley, MN.
Rubin Stenseng (Sue Wilmes) of Duluth, MN.
Beloved Sisters-in-law-Kathy (Edward) Brakob and Lynda Stenseng.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife - Connie Stenseng; parents Russell and Violet; and nephew Scott Nelson
