Services for Emilie L. Kirk
Emilie L. Kirk, 84, formerly of Clearbrook, MN, died on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Valley View Elder Care in Grand Forks, ND.
UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, private family services are tentatively planned for Friday, May 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN with a visitation one hour prior. You can watch the funeral service online via Cease Family Funeral Homes Facebook page or the You Tube Channel Cease Family Funeral Home Service channel. Interment will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Emilie was born on July 4, 1935 in Fosston, Minnesota to Melvin and Dorothy (Rydeen) Grue. She graduated High School and went on to attend Faribault Tech School. She married Lester Kirk on May 15, 1965 in South Minneapolis. Lester passed away on December 3, 1999. Emilie wasn’t camera shy and loved to take pictures. She remembered everyone’s birthday’s and holidays and never missed sending a card. She was very involved in the Deaf Community.
She is survived by her son, Terry Kirk; her granddaughters, Casandra Kirk and Sarah Kirk; her great grandson, Michael Perez; her siblings, Merlin Grue, Rosemary (Jim) Erickson, Diane Ketcham, Edna (Dennis) Gravos, Edwin (Joan) Grue, Derald (Shelia) Grue; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Kirk; her parents, Melvin and Dorothy Grue; her sister, Ruth Reigstad; her sister-in-law, Rozann Grue; her brother-in-law, Clyde Ketcham JR; her nephew, Steven Reigstad; and her grandmother, Louella Rydeen.
