Elvera E. Just was born on November 15, 1919 at Wood Lake, Minnesota to Emil and Marie (Plath) Just.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and had remained in that true faith all her life.  She attended St. John’s Lutheran School and Wood Lake High School, graduating in 1939.  She worked as a waitress in Granite Falls prior to moving to Seattle to work in an aircraft factory during World War II.  After the war, she returned to Minnesota and was employed by the Bell family (founders of General Mills) as a house maid.  She moved briefly to McIntosh and clerked in the Warford Drug Store in the late 1940s.  Elvera then returned to Minneapolis where she enjoyed a long career as an employee of Honeywell, Inc., retiring in 1984.  After retirement, Elvera lived in Minneapolis until her move to McIntosh in 2002 to be near her sister, Alice Warford.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church during her years in McIntosh.  Her later years were spent at Poplar Meadows and for the last few months at McIntosh Senior Living until her death on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the age of 98 years and one month.

Elvera Just never married but was a special aunt to the children of her five brothers and sisters.  She is survived by one brother, Vernon Just and his wife Gloria of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and sister-in-law Ruth (Leslie) Just of West Bend, Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and Leslie, and sisters Leona (Just) Hanson and Alice (Just) Warford.

She was loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.  Blessed be her memory.
