Services for Eldon Wayne Baanrud

Eldon Wayne Baanrud was born October 12, 1947 and passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early hours on Monday, May 27, 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cease Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley, MN with a visitation one hour prior. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.

Eldie was born and raised in Clearwater County and that is where he spent most of his life. He met Pam, the love of his life, in 1982. They were secretly married in their living room in a private ceremony on June 23, 1984. Most believe their actual wedding was on July 28, 1984, when they had their wedding ceremony and reception. He was brave enough to take on her two boys and one girl and raise them as his own. He stepped up and became their Dad.

Eldie had many hobbies. He enjoyed working in his shop building birdhouses, windmills, furniture, and many other wood projects. He liked doing body work on all his vehicles and fixing up dirt bikes for the kids. He was an outdoors man, mowing lawn, fishing, going out on the pontoon, or just kicking back on the deck and getting sunburned. He never missed a deer season, where he was often successful. Eldie enjoyed game shows, old westerns, watching Bison and Viking football, and taking naps. The guy could take a nap pretty much anywhere at any time. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was exceptionally proud of each and every one of his grandchildren (even if they refused to use a level).

He is survived by his wife, Pamella; his sister, Marlys Breeggemann; his children, Jeremy (special friend, Leslie) Baanrud, Steven (Megan) Clark, and Jeni (Jon Knutson) Clark; his

Grandchildren, Bridget (Robb), Eric (Jenny), Brady, Jeremy, Madison, Devon, Jaden, and Abigail; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Romain and LaVerne Baanrud; his brothers, Gary, Dale, and Rodney; his uncle, Ronnie; his great grandson, Andrew; and other numerous family members.
