Visitation will begin one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held at Clearwater Lutheran Cemetery in Shevlin, Minnesota. Lunch will follow at the church.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Edna was born November 6, 1935 to Paul and Ida Mittag in Leonard, MN.  Edna married Lewis Rauk Marsh in Leonard, MN on May 19, 1956.  They purchased the Marsh Family Farm and remained there throughout their lives, celebrating Century Farm status in 2016.
Edna was a member of Clearwater Lutheran Church and served in the lady’s church group.  She was a 4H leader for many years, teaching her love of sewing, gardening, crafting, and cooking to future generations.  Edna always looked forward to the Clearwater County Fair and assisted the judging of produce for many years.  She was a Shevlin Garden Club member for many decades, earning the Golden Leaf Award.  She loved participating in their meetings and events.  Both she and Lewis enjoyed a yearly reunion of the Combat Engineer Group that Lewis served with in Korea, hosting the reunion twice.  Edna worked at Minnesota Wood Products many years making wreaths for Christmas season.
Edna and Lewis valued family, friends and faith above all else in life.  Each did whatever they could to operate their farm and raise their children.  Although she suffered for many years from severe arthritis, Edna never let that keep her from doing what she wanted to do.  Her work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew her.  Often up until late at night, busy with one thing or another, she would be up again at 5:00 am to milk cows.  She worked in the fields and prepared meals for many hired hands when they were harvesting the potato crop.  In 2003 Lewis and Edna were named Valley Farmer and Homemaker.
Edna is survived by her children, Byron (Renae) Marsh, Kathy (Mike) Denzel, LouAnn (Bruce) Gunderson, Carla (Todd) Beecher, Shelly (Steve) Ward, her sisters Ruth Mattson and Shirley (Bob) Engen, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 65 years (Lewis), her parents (Paul and Ida Mittag), two brothers (Ralph and Earl Mittag) and twin grandchildren (Emma and Natasha)
Edna’s family would like to express their appreciation to Colleen, all the staff at Colleen’s Caring Hands and Sanford Hospice for their exceptional and loving care of Edna in her final days.
