Clarice W. Dahl, 90, of the Benedictine Care Community, Ada MN, met Jesus face to face early Christmas morning, December 25, 2018.
Clarice Wilma was born September 14, 1928, at her Grandmother, Sigrid’s, homestead in Pine Creek, MN to Carl and Olga (Stromstad) Bjerke, rural Hoople, ND and was Baptized into the Christian faith at Pine Creek Lutheran Church. Clarice attended Glenwood and Fisher Country Schools through the 8th grade and graduated Cavalier High School 1946. She attended UND and St. Michael's School of Nursing. While working at Northwestern Bell, she met Kenneth Dahl, Grafton ND, and they married in June 1948. Clarice and Kenny raised their “7 J’s”, and “life was never dull”. Clarice loved, supported, and daily prayed for her family her entire life. She enjoyed reading, history, and traveling, especially to Norway, and to the home of her Grandmother, Olivia.
Clarice is survived by her seven children, Jolinda Peterson, Jacqueline (Dennis) Engebretson, Jennifer (Emory) Flaten, Jeffrey (Kathy) Dahl, Joel (Kris) Dahl, Julie (Jerry) Dalen, John Dahl. Her Precious 18 Grandchildren and 25 Great-grandchildren. Three siblings, Odella Dalzell, Charles Bjerke, Audrey (Wesley) Thomas. 12 nieces and nephews and their children. Her friend and caregiver, Adele Koskela. Her friend and roommate, Karen Larson.
Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, her parents, “Dad and Ma”, brother-in-law, Clifford Dalzell, nephew, Alan Dahl.
Clarice acknowledged Gods presence and guidance over every day of her life. Blessed be her memory and may the seeds she sowed, flourish for eternity.
Funeral: 2:00PM Monday, December 31, 2018, at Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND.
Visitation: One hour before the service on Monday at the church.
Burial: North Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Nash, ND.
