Charles Sidney Stuhaug was born on August 12, 1944 in Ada, Minnesota to parents Sidney and Elisabeth Vilmo Stuhaug. The family lived in Glyndon, Minnesota until  moving to Erskine, Minnesota where he graduated from high school in 1963.
Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Juanita Lecy, on April 17, 1965. They had three children, Lisa, Kristina, and Tony. Chuck attended Moorhead State College in Moorhead, Minnesota and graduated with a degree in education in 1967. He then taught and coached in Welcome, Minnesota for two years. He later earned his Master’s Degree from Bemidji State University.
The balance of his more than 30 year career was teaching business and physical education in Bagley, Minnesota. He coached several sports, but coaching football was his passion.
Chuck was very entrepreneurial and used that spirit to inspire many accomplishments in business. He had a painting business with his friend, Ralph Sollom, in the summers, was a real estate broker for more than 20 years, he owned The Coaches Corner restaurant in Bagley with Bill and Barb Bohn, was a business partner with his brother, Ken, in a basement water control business and a fishing launch rental on Lake of the Woods. He was also a referee in the region for many years. Chuck worked up to just recently at the Shooting Star Casino as a trainer where he made many friendships.
Chuck will be fondly remembered as a coach, teacher, trainer, mentor and a great friend to many. It wasn’t odd to be traveling with Chuck anywhere in the United States where he might run into someone he knew.  His family was very important to him and loved to brag about his grandkids.
Survivors include his three children, Lisa (Larry) Bellefy of Bagley, MN, Kristina (Darrin) Faldet of Erskine, and Tony (Heidi) Stuhaug of Erskine, his mother, Elisabeth Stuhaug of Erskine; 10 grandchildren, Shane (Kristen), Austin, and Paige Bellefy, Dustin, Devin, and Kinlee Faldet, Peyton, Madison, Kolton, and Clare Stuhaug; and two great grandchildren, Brylee and Ariella; sister, Janelle (Eugene) Klinke of Erskine; two brothers, Keith (Linda) Stuhaug of Erskine, and Ken (Ann) Stuhaug of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters-in-law, Karen Schimanski of Fosston, MN, and Avonne Trelstad of Moorhead, MN; brother-in-law, Tim (Karen) Lecy of Erskine. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita, on November 22, 2014; his father, Sidney; niece, Mary; four brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
