Services for Bruce Alan Amsbaugh

Bruce Alan Amsbaugh, 68, passed away January 13, 2023. Bruce was born in Williston, ND to Loyd E. and Temple Mae Amsbaugh (Kennedy) of Springbrook, ND, where he first learned to appreciate the soil and the great outdoors. He was baptized and later confirmed at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church.
Bruce graduated from Williston High School class in 1972, studied diesel mechanics at NDSSS, Wahpeton, ND, and worked for a local lumberyard, but his heart was in farming with his father. In 1978 he relocated to Grygla, MN, and worked at Marvin Industries in Warroad, MN, for 41 years until his retirement in 2019. He attended Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla.
A lifelong bachelor, Bruce enjoyed picking wild blueberries in the woods and playing Frisbee golf. He liked guns, and enjoyed participating in competition shooting sports.
He was very well cared for in his final three years by the good folks of Hillcrest Senior Living, Red Lake Falls, MN. Burial will be later this year in a private family ceremony at Riverview Cemetery in Williston.
Bruce is survived by four siblings: Dennis Amsbaugh (Pam) Lakeview, OR, Joyce Pfeifer {Hilbert) Menasha WI, Norris Amsbaugh, Westminster MD, and Neil Amsbaugh (Ruth) Tucson, AZ, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be given in his memory to Ducks Unlimited or Pheasants Forever.
