Services for Beatrice Mienert

Beatrice Mienert, age 80, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 30th, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3rd, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston. Interment will be in Brandsvold Cemetery, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Monday, July 2nd, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com

Beatrice Clara Rindahl was born on November 4, 1937 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Oscar and Hazel Hauger Rindahl. She was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston. Bea attended the Flaskerud country school in Brandsvold Township and graduated from Fosston High School in 1955. Following high school, she began work at the Gamble’s store in Fosston.  

Bea was united in marriage to LeRoy Mienert on October 12, 1957 at Hope Lutheran Church. After their marriage, they farmed and raised their family on the home farm in Brandsvold Township. She also continued to work at Gamble’s for the next 10 years and then for Pine to Prairie Home Health.

Bea was well-known for her beautiful singing voice. She sang at many baptisms, funerals and weddings; and was a faithful member of the Hope Lutheran Choir for much of her life. In addition to music, Bea enjoyed gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include four children, Jackie (Joel) Rendahl of Gully, MN, Corey (Julie) Mienert of Champlin, MN, Bruce (Janelle) Mienert of Merrifield, MN, and Jeremy (Kristi) Mienert of Fosston; nine grandchildren, Jamie (Chris) Aune, Matthew (Desi) Rendahl, Michael Rendahl, Alecia (Chris) Martinez, Keanna Mienert, Mara and Joshua Mienert, and Chelsey and Tristan Mienert; and five great grandchildren, Gavin, Cooper and Emmitt Aune, and Lincoln and Grant Rendahl.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud (Linda) Olson of Blackduck, MN, Evelyn Eggen of Sun Lakes, AZ, Leonard (Vernice) Mienert of Fosston, and Eileen (Milo) Roux of Fosston. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; her twin sister, Norma Olson; brother, Orville Rindahl; and other relatives.
