Services for Allen James Paquin

Allen James Paquin, 59 of rural Oklee, MN passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
 
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:30 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN with Father Adam Hamness Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery near Oklee.
 
Visitation will be held on Friday 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at St. Francis Xavier Church in Oklee, MN and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
 
Allen James Paquin was born July 23, 1958 son of Adelore and Elizabeth (Paradis) Paquin in Red Lake Falls, MN. Later adopted by Donald and Annette LaCoursiere. He attended school in Oklee graduating in 1976. 
 
On September 30, 1988 he was united in marriage to Joyce King in Oklee, MN. To this union 3 daughters were born Angela, Andrea and Amy. Al was a lifelong resident of Lambert Township. He worked at ABC Seamless Siding, Cenex, Brodin Comfort Systems and McIntosh Hardware. 
 
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN, a member of the Oklee Fire Department, the Oklee Ambulance, Knights of Columbus and Lambert Township Board. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, being outside, loved hosting Harvest Fest and spending time with family and friends.
 
Al is survived by his loving wife Joyce of nearly 30 years; children Angela (Sanjog) Dhungana of Fargo, ND, Andrea (Dustin) Cote of Hillsboro, ND and Amy (Matthew) Konickson of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Emily Cote and Jacie Cote; sisters Catherine (George) Simonson of Cudahy, WI, Theresa Malicki of Milwaukee, WI, Mary (Tom) Bergman of Iowa City, IA and Lisa (Warren) Tvedt of Red Lake Falls, MN; brothers Gary Paquin of Brooks, MN, Michael (Julie) Paquin of Brooks, MN, Roland (Bonnie) Paquin of Clayton, NC, Gerald (Kris) Paquin of Billings, MT, Timothy (Eileen) Paquin of Warroad, MN, Patrick (Kathy) Paquin of Erskine, MN and Wayne Paquin of St. Cloud, MN; along with several nieces and nephews.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents Adelore and Elizabeth Paquin, brother Stephen Paquin and brother-in-law Leo Malicki.
 
The family is so thankful for friends and relatives for their support throughout his illness.
 
A special thank you to Dr. Anil Potti, Dr. William Noyes and Joy Leppi his “favorite nurse” and other staff members of the Cancer Center of North Dakota.
