Services for Agnes Kujanson

Agnes Kujanson of Fargo, ND, formerly of Grygla, MN, passed away at the Villa Maria in Fargo, ND, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 94.

 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Vicki Worthington officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Olaf Cemetery, Grygla, MN.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

 

Agnes Marie Stratton was born March 10, 1923, in Brocket, ND, the daughter of Jesse and Nellie (McCoy) Stratton. She was raised in Minnie township in Northern Minnesota where she attended country school.

 

Agnes was united in marriage to Arne Kujanson on August 16, 1941.  To this union six children were born: Joyce, Carol, Arnold, Karen, Gary, and Sandi.  They made their home in the Grygla area where Agnes was a stay at home mom, babysat, made homemade wreaths, and worked at Diamond Jim’s.  Arne passed away in 1995.  She continued living in Grygla until 1997, when she moved to Thief River Falls, MN and resided at the Sky-lite.  Agnes also resided in Moorhead, MN with her family, and moved to Forman, ND to live with her son Arnold, and most recently at the Villa Maria in Fargo.

 

Agnes enjoyed baking for her family – especially cinnamon rolls and spicy apple wrap-ups. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting. quilting, and gardening,

 

Agnes is survived by her children, Joyce Lambeth of Bloomington, MN, Arnold (Shawna) Kujanson of Forman, ND, Karen (Russ) Delorme of Moorhead, MN, Gary (Conni) Kujanson of Milford, IA, and Sandi Mason of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Scott (Jenny) Kujanson, Jason Kujanson, Trent (Hillary) Kujanson, Daniel Kujanson, Isiah Kujanson, Noah Kujanson, Maggie Kujanson, Bryan (Nicole) Delorme, Corey (Tami) Delorme, Joshua Kujanson, Lindsay Kujanson, Ashley (Cody) Chamberlain, and Allison Eaton; 13 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, George Wikert of Grygla, MN; brother, Donald (Lois) Stratton of New Brighton, MN; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Arne; daughter, Carol Wikert; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
