Obituary for Richard Lester Lindom

Richard Lester Lindom 88 yrs old passed away at the Bagley Hospital on Aug. 10, 2021- with his sisters by his side.  A Graveside service was to be at Seljord Cemetery on Sat. Sept. 18, 2021 at 2 pm, when he will be laid to rest by his wife Anita.
Les was born July 26, 1933 to parents Erik, Sr. & Thea Lindom. He was baptized and confirmed at Seljord Luth. Church where he also attended Sunday School, Bible School, etc. 
Growing up on a family farm he learned at an early age to work hard and be responsible. Les served his country in the Army, and after Basic, was sent overseas to Germany where he served most of his remaining time and he received an Honorable Discharge. After returning to the U.S. he worked in construction and learned to operate heavy equipment. 
Les was united in marriage to Anita Hunter February _____, 1957. They lived in Illinois and Wisconsin for several years before moving to Colorado where he again worked construction- operating heavy equipment and he became the Superintendent of a construction company in the Denver area.
After retiring, he and his wife Anita then moved back to Minnesota where they settled in and together managed senior housing apartments in the Park Rapids and Bemidji area. 
Les was preceded in death by many siblings, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Survivors include just two sisters; Ann Hutchinson and Mavis Hegg, both of Clearbrook, MN. And his special nephew Kim Hegg, also of Clearbrook.
Les had a unique sense of humor along with a friendly smile. He was honest, loving, and always ready to help anyone. He really was a wonderful brother, loved by many and will be dearly missed. *Rest in Peace until we meet again*
